Milesight UR35 is an industrial 4G router with 5x 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11n WIFI. Just like all industrial routers, it has hardware and software watchdogs to always keep the router and the connection up in all conditions . Industry or Business The UR35 is designed for industrial environments with strict requirements for operational safety, but is also excellent as a router for a company that wants a more operationally reliable 5G router than ordinary consumer products can offer. The possibility of Transparent Mode suits companies with their own existing firewalls to use this as primary/secondary Internet connection. Firewall / Transparent Mode The router is complete with an advanced firewall. But it can also be set in Transparent Mode if you want it outside another firewall. 5 x 10/100 Ethernet The UR35 has five Ethernet connectors configured as 4 x LAN + 1 x WAN. 802.11n The router has a 2.4GHz WIFI 802.11b/g/n. It also supports WIFI as WAN. VPN UR35 supports several different VPN technologies such as IPSec, OpenVPN (Server or Client), PPTP (Client), L2TP, GRE and DMVPN Fail over / Redundancy The UR35 can also be connected to another internet connection via Ethernet. In addition, the WIFI module can be used to connect the router to another WIFI access point. The router can prioritize the cheapest/best connection and send traffic as needed. Built-in support for Python applications You can build your own Python applications and run them directly in the router, which makes that in many cases you can replace a local computer on site for simpler processing. A 528 MHz Qualcomm ARM Cortex-A7 processor with 128 MB Flash (and external MicroSD) and 128 MB RAM means that there is decent capacity for Python applications. Other connections As I said, the UR35 is created for industrial applications and therefore they have the possibility to connect RS232/RS485 as well as a digital IN port and a digital OUT. RS232/RS485 can be connected as serial port server or Client. Or Modbus Slave/Master or Modbus gateway. The IN port can e.g. can be used to trigger alarms via SMS, SNMP or email. Routing UR35 has advanced support for various routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, Routing filtering and the possibility to static routing tables.. As well as interfering with VRRP for those who want a complete hardware redundant Fail over solution. Event reporting The router has a built-in report engine that can send E-mail , SMS and/or SNMP Traps when something happens. You can choose which type of event should trigger which action.
